The past few years has seen a proliferation in the number of diecast brands and the number of diecast releases. Some would call it the Golden Age of Diecast and it certainly is from the perspective of choice for the collector.
From the perspective of the retailer, however, it is a bit different. To carry any brand requires that you deploy capital against inventory. There is a cost to carrying inventory (idle capital, damage, et. al). To make a brand worthwhile requires a certain level of product throughput, product quality and the ability to earn a decent and fair margin.
For us, some brands are just are just not meeting these criteria. These brands are listed below and represent a very small minority of our sales. We feel that we can enhance our ability to deliver on our core brands, while minimizing the impact on the majority of our customer base.
